Modern internet-based humans seem to be trying to externalize as much of themselves as possible. Blogging is nothing in comparison to http://www.evernote.com/ - an attempt to keep all your valuable memories outside of your scull. Surely, it is useful. As Dawkins says, "We should be open-minded, but not so open-minded that our brain falls out".
